About This Site...

The TV show Roswell did me in. Not only was I a HUGE fan of the paranormal & alien genre, I had to know more about the yummy Jason Behr who played the loveable Max Evans. Like many fans I was devestated when the show was cancelled but my adoration for Jason has only grown...and Jason Behr Online was born...from a fan for the fans.

Tattooist Photo

A young artist (Jason Behr) unknowingly plays a role in releasing a deadly spirit as he attempts to learn tatau, the Samoan tradition of tattooing.

Here is a photo from the film of Jason with his female costar. Hot!

D-War Update

Here is the trailer:

Taken from the Cool Sci Fi Forums:

It’s currently in its lengthy CGI and post-production stage, IIRC. Scheduled for a Korean release near the end of the year, after which a worldwide release should soon follow. It’s already got co-financing from US and Japan, so those two regions should be a definite. They wrapped up the LA filming last December. Some familiar Hollywood cast members include Jason Behr (The Grudge), Robert Forster (Jackie Brown, Alligator), Elizabeth Pena (Jacob’s Ladder, The Incredibles), Chris Mulkey and newcomer Amanda Brooks (the upcoming Flight Plan, starring Jodie Foster). Behr and Brooks will play the modern day Caucasianally reincarnated lovers from Korea’s ancient Chosun dynasty era, who are somehow responsible for the legendary ancient dragons awakening and devastating downtown LA.

75% of the movie takes place in modern day LA, with the remainder taking place in Korea (I think mostly during the ancient Chosun dynasty era).

No set release date yet, but the remainder of the production (mostly left over miniatures and practical SFX) continue filming thru February. I’m guessing sometime in the late summer (or possibly early fall, in time for the Korean holiday Chuseok, when a lot of their big guns get released).

As far as I know D-Wars is still trying to get a distributor in the US (perhaps Paramount?)… it may hit theatres in 2007 or 2008 or it may go straight to DVD-But as of November 2006, it’s exact release date is unknown.

D-War is a film that I’ve been following with much anticipation for the last year or so. I was surprised to find out that a much cleaner version of the D-War trailer had become available and I let it slip under my nose. But oh well… that happens. Not sure what D-War is?
“D-War” is a special effects sci-fi pic which combines Korean folklore, US actors and production talent wrapped up in a tight Korean digital effects package. The film is the story of a huge, giant serpent that devastates Los Angeles in its hunt for a girl who can transform it into a dragon.
This film looks like a whole boat load of fun. According to M&C the film cost a whopping $145 million to produce (honestly… the move does look like fun… but the effects aren’t THAT good). Oh yes! Giant dragons and serpents destroying LA! Now that’s a fun Saturday afternoon my friends! D-War (Dragon War) opens at Cannes in May. To see the D-War trailer you can go here.

Fangoria Screens Skinwalkers

Fans of all variety of horror films will have a special opportunity to meet some of their favorite actors and directors, get sneak peeks at the newest upcoming releases, and browse a huge selection of memorabilia from hundreds of vendors at Fangoria magazine’s Weekend of Horrors convention.

On top of hearing special guests speak about their work, getting an autograph or picture taken with an actor or director, and tracking down a hard-to-find collectible in the showroom, convention attendees will get to see sneak previews of upcoming films such as “Ghost Rider,” “The Hitcher,” “The Hills Have Eyes 2,” “Behind The Mask,” “Skinwalkers,” “Grindhouse” and many more.

Too bad I didn’t know about this earlier or I would have made a roadtrip to San Jose where the convention was hosted.
