I really like the tattoo though. It has been quite a while since United States Of America have been producing thespian based mini series/drama series like Roswell or Gilmore Girls and I really feel disappointed that the tv channels in Malaysia (both astro and RTM1, RTM2, NTV7, 8 TV, TV9 and astro channels ) are all showing the same hit axn or fox production series which are similar and a hit tv series in USA and the whole wide world. There are no news of the good years of mini series or lower/middle budget movies rated by our extensive and going global entertainment magazines which worth a rating in our malaysian english classroom in schools or other higher institutions. Gone are the days that Malaysian teachers will keep an eye on the Borneo Post or the New Strait Times Tv programmes section, to tell the students to watch certain movie (TV2 Golden Channel circa 1992-1995’s Movie Magic for example) to improve our English and to prepare ourselves for Literature in English for form 5 (O-LEVEL equivalent) or form 6(lower and upper)/ GCSE A-LEVEL equivalent. For an example: New England production of A Lady in White/Squirm/Beethoven(a movie about Ludwig van Beethoven string quartet and trio which he wrote for Mozart and Haydn played by the leading actor (nicknamed Cupid) and leading actress named (victoria or Estella who played a role as a young English woman from Birmingham I think.). I believe too many box office movies are thorns in movie makers flesh. The marketing of movies should be reformed. Not all actors could be Yul Brennar or Audrey Hepbourn. Not every movies could be Titanic or Lord of the Rings. More and more movies are taking the format of LOTR and perhaps more and more foreign productions are taking formats of American Idols on Variations of near derivations (that includes all vernacular , Malay and English Language productions). I fear that viewers are not turning to televisions or the newspaper for their entertainment. I rather be travelling or walking in town instead not trying to be Ludwig van Beethoven. If broadcast fails, taxes might fail, if taxes fails, coffers fails. There might be early retirement from a large organization and I pray that history will not repeat itself for America. (the retirement from service may require a lot of public funds and insurance or perhaps gradualties from various privilages signed by the enlisted members ex officio. The stage could be the solution. It did not sank for the Titanic (no matter how inter continent class biased and division it may be). It just raised from the coffers’ seabed and the public just want more of the that especially from the fragments of the lost British Empire. The past is always in us because the movie reflected our past in a literature sense. It is like a Jane Austen writing(s) set on a grand ocean liner set for its doom. Gotte liebe et Behr. Thank you for reading my comments.
